Kit Mix #131: Fin
Here’s a conceptual mix from new Hausmo artist FIN, inspired by the visceral, macerated artwork of Louise Bourgeois. Starting with poetry by Ariana Reines, she cycles through Bulgarian choral, floaty post-punk and spiritual jazz. Fantastic! More words from FIN below…

‘I wanted to have some parameters to focus my choices, so I imagined I was making a mix to accompany Louise Bourgeois’s work. She is one of my fav artists, and her work is diverse enough that I still had room with play with different textures. Some of the songs I picked with specific artworks in mind… like the Angelblood track I think could accompany “Le Regard (The Gaze)”, or Magik Markers for Bourgeois’ Cells series. ~Louise Bourgeois 4ever~’

FIN’s latest record, the excellent Ice Pix, ‘channels humanoid and digital impulses in equal measure, as she constructs miniature worlds from building blocks of beats, synths, vocal lines, and a wide-ranging arsenal of sampled sound sources’. Grab it via Hausu Mountain.
