Nublu Istanbul 70 kit records

NTS // Turkish Psych Special

Still obsessed with Turkish psych, Hasidic disco, and any other manic east/west collisions from that era. This week in the NTS studio I drew a lot from Bouzoukis Joe’s excellent singles collection Turkish Freakout, as well as odd tracks from the likes of Zeki Müren and Ersen & Dadaşlar. Nublu is also a great source for this scene (in particular their Istanbul 70 series). A liberal sprinkling of Prince, Highlife and BIPPP left us with something dangerously close to the dancefloor. I don’t know what’s come over me.
