Here’s the first song from the latest addition to Kit’s stable, sound collagist and pianist Devon Loch. On “Slow Wave”, Devon takes inspiration from the dissonant eastern chord structures of Bartok, feeding them through a dying electric organ before adding weird samples and the soft thumps of a 606. This is something of a collab, as dark sonics engineer Best Available Technology (Opal Tapes, Astro:Dynamics) lends a corrupting hand. Expect a mini album from Devon over the coming months, featuring the wonderful Ela Orleans on synths and violin.
