We’ve teamed up with pop-up radio station Comms Bureau to bring you FUN, a free evening of music, art and the unexpected. For this inaugural event, we’ll be welcoming a roster of visual and sonic artists to play music and customise the Waiting Room in Stoke Newington, London, with their own work. This will be a fun evening where creative types and people of like minds can get out of their studios to meet, chat, relax, dance and maybe collaborate! Art materials will be provided, plus goodie bags containing a free mixtape and other treats for the first 50 people through the door. Line-up below…
Colourbox – The alter-ego of artist Joe Rogers, Colourbox finds inspiration in sound, words, shapes, bold colour and the natural environment, or any combination of the above (check out our interview with Joe here).
Burgerac – DJ, illustration agent, burger detective, man about town – Burgerac has a way with words and a sizzling passion for vinyl (not to mention patties).
Kit Records – Yours truly offers up an experimental live set with visuals, analogue twiddles and other nerve-racking multimedia elements.
Dramatic Records perform ‘Invisible Cities’ – A rare live set from the enigmatic label, this promises to be a precious sighting of their latest project, bringing together devotional music, iconography and tall tales.
Visual installations provided by the fantastic Diane Edwards.
We would love to see you there, but if you really can’t make it down you can always have ‘FUN’ in your own home, as the whole night will be broadcast live online at the Comms Bureau website, and archived later for future listening! Here’s what the wonderful Comms Bureau space looked like at PMU:
